Did you know that the United States is the home of almost 130,000 Wild Horses, also called Mustangs, that the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) takes care of? According to a 2017 report, the BLM estimated there were nearly 83,000 wild horses and burros on the range at the end of 2017. And another 46,000 BLM Wild Horses in long term holding facilities in the USA. These wild horses for one reason or another have been declared unwanted. No value other than being a ward of the State that the federal government will take care of for the rest of their lives or the BLM finds suitable adopters to take over the responsibility of care and ownership. Even though the BLM has many different programs to adopt, the numbers of wild horses that the government, (our tax dollars) support annually is not being helped much. The population of wild horses continues to grow.
Cindy Branham can help you select, adopt, assist with gentling and ground work training to begin a lifetime partnership with your mustang! Her proven gentling and training method will produce a willing and trusting partner. While she trains your mustang, she recommends taking lessons and learning Cindy’s Step x Step ground work program on one of her already trained horses. This way you will be ready to work with your own mustang at the end of Cindy’s training program. Cindy’s motto is, “Lets save one Mustang at time!”

$850 a month for training and board. Owner/Adopter supplies all shavings, hay and grain.

Branded Partnership Program
Would you like to adopt an already gentled mustang for only $125?
- Adopt a ground-started wild horse or burro through a trusted, vetted, Branded Partnerships trainer for the same price as adopting directly through the Bureau of Land Management.
- Find the right horse or burro for you by leveraging the trainer's knowledge of the animal's personality to ensure a great, long-term fit.
- Get help directly from the Branded Partnerships trainer to help your transition and keep the momentum going.
- *Keep the horse or burro with the Branded Partnerships trainer for saddle training. *for select mustangs
- Attend clinics hosted by approved Branded Partnerships trainers to improve your horsemanship and learn skills to apply at home. -- copied from foreverbranded.org
- Horses will not be available to adopt until they have passed the requirements below. This will take a minimum of 30 days, sometimes longer depending on the horse or burro
Horses' or Burros' must meet the three minimum gentling requirements within the Branded Partnership program to be eligible for adoption/sale through Branded Partnerships:
- Halter & lead
- Groom animal and pick up all 4 feet
- Load/unload into trailer
Any additional training after adoption for select horses are $850 a month for training and board. Select Horses approved for saddle training will require a minimum of 2 more months of training. Owner supplies all shavings, hay and grain.

Cindy takes in a few select horses for training each year
From ground work to finish work and problem solving, Cindy still does take in a few select horses every year.
Although she has retired from starting colts under saddle, she still can complete a solid ground work foundation. Building performance horses who are already started under saddle is her main focus and training and showing Working Equitation horses and performance horses.
